On behalf of the Zambia Institute of Environmental Health (ZIEH), I extend my warm greetings to all Environmental Health professionals, partners, stakeholders, students, and members of the public visiting our official platform. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to this shared home of our profession; a space created to inform, empower, and connect the Environmental Health community in Zambia and beyond.

As an institution mandated to uphold and advance the highest standards of Environmental Health practice, ZIEH remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening professional capacity, promoting evidence-based practice, and supporting national efforts to safeguard public health. This website stands not only as an information hub but also as a place where we share knowledge, exchange ideas, celebrate achievements, and stay updated on emerging developments in Environmental Health locally and globally.

Environmental Health is a cornerstone of disease prevention, sustainable development, and community wellbeing. Our profession plays a critical role in food safety, waste management, water quality monitoring, occupational health, vector control, and emergency response. As we continue to navigate evolving public health challenges, ZIEH is positioned to provide leadership, guidance, and advocacy for a resilient and responsive Environmental Health workforce.

As Environmental Health Practitioners (EHPs), you are the frontline gatekeepers of public health. Every day, you identify hazards, assess risks, and provide practical solutions to protect lives. This responsibility is immense and noble. I urge all practitioners, both within Zambia and beyond, to remain professional, committed, and diligent, because negligence in our field can lead to outbreaks, loss of life, economic disruption, and damage to the nation’s reputation. Let your work speak louder than your voices.
